I’m Nick, a designer dedicated to creating powerful graphics and visual identities. My design is inspired by vintage signage, pop culture, and a love for all things retro. I am graduating Spring 2021 with a BA in I-Design, and a concentration in Technology & Interactivity, from Winona State University. My whole life I have had a passion for drawing or any form of art making.
Growing up my dad owned a sign shop and from time to time he would bring me on as additional help. Usually not as installation help but rather demolition. He would drop me at a vinyl covered semi-truck, armed with a heat gun and rubbing alcohol. Aside from learning a hard day’s work, I also began to absorb knowledge about design. This is the first time I can think of that I began to practice or participate in design.
I grew up in Waukesha, Wisconsin and came to Winona State University in Fall 2016 originally for nursing, then secondary education, then biology and finally I-Design. I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life now. Looking back I am not sure why I didn’t start off in design, I have always had a passion for creating but hey, everything happens for a reason. Outside of design I enjoy the outdoors and road trips.
I’m always hungry and looking for more work, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
